Buildings should keep their promises.

I’m Juan Beaumont, a civil engineer from Temuco, Chile, working at the intersection of BIM, energy performance and applied AI.

Twenty years ago I was modeling structures for local projects. Today I advise hospitals and developers on two continents, teach graduate students at UTEM, and build tools — like TurboIFC — so the industry can verify instead of trust blindly.

The thread has never changed: buildings should keep their promises. My job is making sure the data proves it.

I’m also co-founder of Rootman, a climate-tech company bringing patented bio-based insulation to the US market, and an active entrepreneur in the Silicon Valley and Stanford innovation ecosystem. Once a year you’ll find me in the Bay Area; the rest of the time, wherever there’s a building worth measuring.
